I developed this craft activity for delivery on my Mars in a Box workshop – a Mars-related extension to the Solar System in a Box workshop. This activity is suitable for KS 1-2 and a family audience at science festivals. Very simply it allows students to make their own globe of Mars. It has been trialled in primary school workshops and for the 2013 BBC Star Gazing Live East Midlands Event and the 2014 Star Gazing Live event at University of Leicester.
